COMPREHENSIVE EYE EXAM
Comprehensive Ophthalmic Examinations
At the Veterinary Ophthalmology Center, we will perform a comprehensive eye exam to determine the cause of your pet’s eye problems. This exam includes a thorough evaluation of the structure and function of your pet's eyes. Examinations are performed in our specially-equipped exam rooms utilizing slit-lamp biomicroscopy and indirect ophthalmoscopy. Procedures that are performed as part of the examination include the Schirmer Tear Test, tonometry (which measures pressure inside the eye), and fluorescein stain to evaluate injuries to the cornea and the health of the tear film.
After the examination, we will thoroughly discuss any eye problems with you and outline all treatment options available for your pet. Our goal is to get your pet's eyes as healthy as possible as quickly as possible.
